Duran Duran

David Linch created visuals. Que tal?
Well, I've never been and am not a fan of this group.
But beginning surprised me, very intriguing. But only beginning, then no twirled me ;-)
F

I agree with you. My intention was just share the David Linch visuals.;-)

All City

CaliberSF - one of my favorite site in the web is now closed, but don't worry.....
With CaliberSF ending and All City taking it's place.

By the way it's cool site!

Paris again

Paris again. This time: Yesterday and Today
ParisAvant.com
Each post is two pictures taken at the same place but at different times.
Divides them into about a hundred years
Interesting idea and I like this kind of blogs
F

This one Un Jour à Paris is visually beautiful (Paris today).
ParisAvant is just the comparative record I tried to make time ago. Excellent performance of the author. CGT to him.
spread 'memes'(ideas around the planet).
Note: in the old time people had the streets. Today the priority is thousands of cars.
B

Streets of Athens

The City Never Visited By Me.

I think it might be interesting to you too.
B
Yeah, interesting scenes from the streets of Athens. I like this kind of blogs.
F

speaking of movies...

This site is a play ON line by Ji Lee. Looking at the silhouette of an object you have to guess the movie where this object appears. Seems easy but not for me. I don't dominate their names in English ;-( ...
will you try?...
B
hahahaha......funny site.
F

"The Wedding at Cana is the largest painting in the Louvre; the horizontal length of the painting is an astounding 9.9 meters!"

Paris Paris

Do you like Paris? If so, take a look here:

F
Yes, I love Paris in the springtime
I love Paris in the fall
I love Paris in the winter...
and was delighted with the photos and stories about Paris.
I saw a part of but I intend to visit the entire blog.
Paris is a city for all as are the large cosmopolitan cities around the world.
I like to watch what people are wearing on the streets.
a photo by Yanidel

did you see The Dada Bar project in Yanidel blog?
Yes, I saw The Dada Bar project
I wanted to even do post about it, but you were the first ;-))))
Brilliant idea, but it takes a lot of patience.

A similar idea as in the movie "Smoke" by Wayne Wang.
Where Harvey Keitel ( as Auggie Wren ) takes pictures of the same place, at the same time, day after day, year after year....

...."More than four thousand pictures of the same place. The corner of Third Street and Seventh Avenue at eight o'clock in the morning. Four thousand straight days in all kinds of weather. That's why I can never take a vacation, I've got to be in my spot every morning at the same time.... It's my corner after all."

I love this idea and i love this movie.
My favorite fragment:
Have you seen this movie?
F

yes I saw this movie years ago. In that time I was not a photographer ;-). But the theme that charmed me since then. The photography as a detonator of deep emotions and the shop a place to meet humans being who needed to share their lives. a GREAT movie, yes. Exciting fragment you chose.
Harvey Keitel is one of my favorite actor.
B

PS: see the right side of this THE STREET PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS selected entries.
I think it can be interesting - despite the small size of photos and... you'll see ;-)
B
A great set of photos and it's hard to choose the best

This is the same template that you have in wordpress:

Demo of Modularity Lite
F

Vincent van Gogh thought

“For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.” VvG

collection of phrases - I liked this anonymous creator website
B

I agree with you, it's very interesting site. Briefly and concisely to various and important topics.
I also like the look of a page that is built on a platform Tumblr. So on this platform is a lot of interesting templates, but there is one basic flaw, not all accept comments :-(
Were it not for this flaw, I'd probably be moved on Tumblr. By the way of the design, something happened with our website, or just it's only wrong running for me ?
F
it is working perfectly for me.
what item did not work?
B

It's looks like this:

sidebar is not in place
F
not for me. maybe is my very large photo?!? I tryed to reduce it, OK?

Both sets of photos very interesting, but I definitely prefer - New Yorkers by eudaimon - The vast collection of New Yorkers in different situations and in different activities. I really enjoyed it and it is very inspiring.

More Carnival around of the Brazil

100 photos by UOL
a few of Brazilian and foreign celebrities attended the event.
can you identify them?
I have a Sociological theory for the carnival:
the explosive energy during the carnival keeps people under control all the year.
incisor is to live here to understand this phenomenon ;-)

some pictures touched my attention. they are swimming in the muddy ocean.

PS: Do you master the photographic concepts LIKE "Shutter speed" and others equally important?
Honestly ... I need urgently study this subject. For example: I read a discussion troy x Bob in CALIBER's website.
Then... WIKIPEDIA (all in my language but...)
I'm an illiterate photographer (DOes not exist this expression, I think.) and just a doubtful person.
B

Carnival in São Paulo

New York! New York!

video by Mindrelic.
B

NY as I saw :-)
B

Decidedly, I prefer black and white photo taken by you.
It's really true and realistic and not artificial and on a show for tourists.
On your photo I see ordinary street, school and New York such as see New Yorkers on a daily basis. And this is it.
There is nothing special about this photo, but I like it very much and FAV!!!
