"railers of the installation presented at the Galeria Baró (Sao Paulo).

the installation consists of two superposed on a video projection of 6 feet tall, running simultaneously. the videos are the result of a series of errors in the editing process - HD video edited in an old GIF animation software - and browser reading errors of the scripts used to load the HTML pages that shoul display the movies. the result is an unusual and unexpected panorama of the "minhocão" express way. a trip, up and down, crossing this urban scar of the landscape of sp. A demo of the installation can be seen here"

"In this video the landscape is reduced to its minimum informative elements – dominant colors and sounds -, converting movement in a flow of textures and volumes modulated by ligth. Recorded with a Flip video camera during landings and take offs, between the urban airports of São Paulo (Congonhas, CGH) and Rio de Janeiro (Santos Dumont, SDU), in one day of July. An interesting and inspiring ideas.
Much more I like the second - Cubism in motion ;-)
Cool presentation!

faces of tomorrow

Mike Mike travels around the world photographing faces.
He creates a composite image with the faces of the place.
It symbolizes the city.
MM composed the face of Sao Paulo city(Paulista Avenue)
and I took mine (Dani the 'real' teen worker).
FACES OF TOMORROW
and... THE WEATHER in LODZ
tell me about its precision :-)
B
--------------------------------------------------------
Two very interesting sites!!

FACES OF TOMORROW - excellent idea and a great adventure.
I looked through a few cities and it's fantastic.

THE WEATHER in LODZ - very cool site and shows good current temperature.
Exactly this weather synoptics heralds on the weekend.
The worst thing is that next week will be the same all the time :-(
And I love this - Sao Paulo

And now the photo taken by you.
You have a good eyes, because I just exactly as this portrait imagine young worker in Brazil.

Aleksandr Rodtchenko in Sao Paulo

and more Brazilian media to Aleksandr Rodtchenko here
revolution (unusual angles)! I made many 'unusual' didn't know HE had done decades ago :-)
B
Yeah, it's hard to invent something new today ;-)
Everything has already been, in art, in photography, in music, in.......But it does not matter, you don't have to worry about ;-)))
Always we discover something new, with fresh, contemporary look.
And that's what it was, it's just history, to admire and inspiration.

It must be interesting exhibition. Soviet Union in the twenties and thirties, viz. the period of terror recorded on photographic...Although on this pictures, don't see this, but it's a good thing and I'm most pleased. Quite enough watching and learning the history of violence from school. The pictures are perfect and inspirational.
I's amazing that almost a hundred years ago was made such great pictures.
But being a photographer in those days, it was something important and distinctive, these was rare thing.

Well, and now?......Now everyone can be a photographer, and express their inventiveness and creativity !!!! And this is great and I love it !!!!
Yeah, so well let's go to take the pictures and don't look at the past, that something already was ;-)))

Excellent presentation !!!

PS:
1. I like color of the wall
2. A propos the schools, whether in Brazilian schools teach about the October Revolution, Lenin, Stalin, and similar matters?
F
The Brazilian intellectual class is formed in this direction =>to follow the 'left' way, socialism, red rose... from my student time until the present day that is the constancy in the schools.
I resisted to visit the USA because I learned that this country means opposition to socialism then ... Lula's government no longer require English language for diplomats.
can you imagine that? resist, resist, resist! to the American Empire. Impossible I think.
Here we have the capitalist system as the economy plus the socialism as a model of government.
Here is more important to manufacture and sell numerous objects than to have a good education.
well this can be difficult to understand. a little contradictory.

final goal: to keep the people in orderly behavior.
B
Thanks for the description of the situation in Brazil. In fact, some things are contradictory, but it is not only in Brazil. In Poland is similarly, the workers fought for capitalism, and now they want socialism combined with catholicism. This is paranoia and stupidity. Blaspheme and slander times of socialism, but they want exactly the same. Only this time the party leadership to be the church. Paranoid nation.
this combination is even incomprehensible (socialism + Catholicism)
I just received a Zygmunt Bauman's book. a Polish intellectual well accepted around the world.
I think he can provide a better understanding of the contemporary societies.
B
PS: i like the dialogue image/ideas in our publications. Extensive feeling to the our others (photo) websites :-)

Grinderman - No Pussy Blues - for warm up !

-12°C. It is very cold, sad and gloomy, so something to warm up:

I love his wild being.

Radiohead's new album now online

I've never been an avid fan of Radiohead, but this video has something magical. Although the vocals a little bit annoying.
F

I liked the combination of "suave song and steric movements"!
DO not omit the B & W (in my mind .... ALWAYS amazing). Love this post :-)

Yes, only the Sun can reveal the beauty of the world !!!
F

Gianni Galassi

recommend by F

only the sun can reveal- colors and shapes - Gianni is al right.
not need a spectacular cam to make photos like he DOES.
B :-)

Entirely agree with you.
Not need sophisticated and expensive camera, but imagination is needed.
This kind of photography which he cultivates it seems very simple. But without imagination and without idea how interesting and different from everyone else to catch......it would be as a thousands photos of buildings, which is in the net.
And with him is something that intrigues and inspires. Point of view, focus colors, shadows and buildings exist as a one whole.
!!!!!!Simplicity and brilliance!!!!!!
And I love this kind of photography!
F

social networking

facebook, twitter, digg or buzz? What do you like the best?
F
PS: or maybe or blog? ;-)
I like this one because here we can express ourself... what we think it is art.
I am in FB, Twitter and digg. My activity in FB is so small. In Twitter and Digg is negligible.
Lately I've posted the update from Sao Paulo Chiaroscuro in FB. Just for fun :-)

The Guess Who - American Woman

move on to the year 1970
in those days we have after .... years.
and in Canada, they play such the music.
F
something similar to what is happening in the Arab world today, I mean, a restricted freedom, no access to western capitalist world (internet, etc).
nowaday you are free to access any site, is not it? I send you a list of video/music (Gmail). show me your favorite on that list. I would like to know.
B
hahaha,.......an awful lot of it........many hours of listening and viewing..........

No, no, I was not about political matters, restrictions on freedom of expression and similar matters......No.....
Well, misunderstanding :-))
.....It was just a reflection on the passage of time, as these young people (then), they look today, , and the fact that in 1970, I was too young to listen to this music.... Passing of time this is the theme of this post ;-))
F
OK! My political reaction is why in the seventies we were under the military dictatorship.
A shadow is always hanging around our minds. Sorry, for this, F.
B

Severin Koller - photography

the 'phenomenon' here amazed me.
B

google art project

google art project
Google has launched a website where you can look at the 17 largest museums in the world. Selected images photographed, even with the 14-billionth of a resolution, so you can see brush strokes. And this without giving an alarm.
Visiting museums is based on technology Street View. Using navigation already known to us, we can explore every museum from the list. About one thousand works of art collected in 17 the famous galleries we can able to admire the one, well organized and very easy to use website.

Here I was in real life:
