The Brown Sisters Project

In 1975 Nicholas Nixon started photographing his wife Bebe and her three sisters every year, once a year.
Always in the same order; Heather, Mimi, Bebe, Laurie.
This is the story !!!
Wonderful idea and beautiful photo story
The Brown Sisters Project

exactly! a great historical story. and that I really like: the expressive human face. unfortunately it is not very easy to get a really good face for shooting. but we need to keep trying. yes?

swinging imagination or iPhoneography NYC again

Yes, I saw all the pictures on iPhoneography NYC. I watch this blog for a long time, and began with the main blog 24gotham. But rarely has there appear new pictures, it appears, that a small camera iPhone is more handy than a big SLR ;-)
In total, I think so too. Yes, quality is important but not essential. We can have the best SLR camera, and don't taken interesting photos. Quality can be wonderful, but what will happen, that lack of ideas for interesting photos....NOTHING!!!
There are many such blogs in the network, where the authors brag that they are great cameras, which use aperture, exposure time, and so on.....and so on.....and....NOTHING!.......Their vision of the world is not interesting.
Photographer need a theme, passion and swinging imagination and at the end possibly good equipment.
Do you agree with this?

iPhoneography NYC - is one of the best blogs that I follow in the net.
And if I had to choose ten of my favorite photo blogs, iPhoneography NYC would have been there

PS:
Hey solar sister, or maybe some fun in selecting our ten favorite photoblogs?
Not individual photos, or gallery, but regular photoblogs?
Of course, we omit in this summary our blogs ;-)))
And it need not also be arranged in order, just ten favorites and inspiring photoblogs.
What do you think about? It's that cool and inspiring fun? ;-)
OK! If you agree, we have one week for this choice.

PS 2:
Then, another time can be: ten writers, ten artists, ten blogging about other topics......yeah, the list could be endless ;-)
F
Absolutely correct. Totally agree. I'm questioning my photographic action for some time.
...attempts to make something different. I can't. Complicated. Then I commit the same photos as always.
But what I value is persistence and we are persistent you and me. Because photography is the way to observe the life around.
I accept the challenges (10 new photography sites in a week is overkill for me ;-)but...
Go, go! I will do my contribution, OK?
B
PS: I appreciate your commitment to keeping this dialogue alive.

still Eric Kim

Eric Kim talks to his Facebook friends and they exchange ideas about the kind of street photography. Street Photographs in the Rain is... inspirational.
"The storm is coming. Buy one, please!"

I agree, excellent and inspiring. I love this set.

I guess that the photo above is taken by you, which confirms my theory that, in Brazil, umbrella are uses a little differently and for other purposes ;-))

google art project

google art project
Google has launched a website where you can look at the 17 largest museums in the world. Selected images photographed, even with the 14-billionth of a resolution, so you can see brush strokes. And this without giving an alarm.
Visiting museums is based on technology Street View. Using navigation already known to us, we can explore every museum from the list. About one thousand works of art collected in 17 the famous galleries we can able to admire the one, well organized and very easy to use website.

Here I was in real life:
Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam

Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam

....And now it's time to visit other museums, but in the virtual world. Better is in real world, but this chance to visit museums is very interesting and brilliant idea. Love it!!!!

Get Your Own Profile!

Create your personal splash page.
Quickly build a personal and dynamic splash page that points visitors to your content from around the web. I guess we must have something like that, what do you think?
Enough on each page provide a link to about.me and you do not have every time to create and write something about yourself
And on this page all the links for us all sides in the web.
Here are some sample pages of several people:

So what do you think? I like it.
The idea and execution are brilliant!!!
about.me. Yeah, I need to work on this!!
