umafotoumdia
unfortunately titles in Portuguese.
B
In fact it is a little different perspective on the Sao Paulo.
Interesting scene and nooks of the city, which I had not seen on your blog.
Such a different perspective of another person broadens our knowledge and imagination.
I watched with interest. Thanks for the link.

MANUFAKTURA

Yes, you're right, it's Lodz, and specifically, again Manufaktura.
This time, as seen from inside to outside, specifically from the first floor.
Exactly above this window is a big sign MANUFAKTURA ;-))
F
Both versions are excellent. I loved to see people calmly walking and enjoying the light
I personally prefer the sepia one for Sentimental Reasons but the world can't be only mono, is not it? I think photography is the art of challenge and in your current work I realize that: your quest for BEAUTY and its variations. Am I right?
By the way... to watch the life from the inside... this corresponds to our work (shooting). Hahahaha I'm thinking like that sometimes. Work!

Just What I See - Greg Schmigel

Yes, I know 'again a SlideShow'? but this is very special. NYCity as I see too. If you prefer can see HERE one at a time. AMAZED ME!

Yeah, this set charmed also me.
Everyday life, ordinary street scene.
Yeah, this kind of photography I appreciate and like more, than sleek and refined photos specifically for tourists.
Very good, that you find it and share and more such.....

Well, I don't like Roosevelt, because at the Yalta Conference, during the division of postwar Europe, he give away Poland from West Europe to the influence of the Soviet Union. Among other things, thanks to him it was lasted until 45 years. 1945-1990 I hate him.
F
I'm so sorry! to remember unpleasant things was not my intention, F.Let's move forward with some good expectation.

Eric Kim talks to his Facebook friends and they exchange ideas about the kind of street photography. Street Photographs in the Rain is... inspirational.

hero or traitor ?

This note relates to this post: Insulted by Authors - still books and your short note, that in August, will visit Brazil, Lech Walesa

Well, Lech Walesa is another story. Although personally, he's not my favorite person, mainly for parochial, primitive religiosity. But for me he has great merit in the transformation of political system in Poland. Unfortunately, as in Poland, opinions are divided as to its merits. Jealous and stupid people who in days gone by they sat quietly, or there were not even born, now accuse him of cooperating with intelligence and police. It's bullshit!! These fools would like to revolution was bloody and that was many casualties. Then it would be for what to pray and to flaunt their victims around the world. So be the Christ of nations, yeah here in Poland are plenty of fools, which consider that it truth...hahahahah..... Shame and disgrace

In conclusion I appreciate Walesa for accomplishment bloodless revolution and other peaceful achievement,
but I don't like his personality. Hmm, PARADOX?

OK! And another conclusion: No need to be someone's friend, to appreciate him
F
I really appreciate your testimony. This is the way to understand more and more about ourselves and about our society. Thank you, F!

'Shot on an iPhone 3G', yes. But... how these short films was introduced in the same frame!?!

I'll try again to understand the msg on video.

Insulted by Authors - still books

"To Bill Ryan"
Bill asks authors for insulted dedications on their books. After he publishs it in "Insulted by Authors". The most of them accepted the play and puts quizzical style messages on his page.
B

and now my current reading
"Conversations with Zygmunt Bauman" He will be here on July. ;-)
B

Well, in Poland, he is not so valued. Mainly, that he promote communism and cooperation with the intelligence. The upside is that it does not displace his views and believes that this was the right thing at that time. I write, that's his advantage (no crowding out of ideas), because many famous people who have previously praised and supported the ideas of communism, now they say that's not true, or that they were forced to do so. And that's not true, then ordinary careerists and opportunists. Once they were the communists, now they are the great catholic....hahahahahah
F

so much to think about. This subject and your opinion is important to me.
Also Lech Walesa will be here in August.

Billy Collins poetry

Animated videos that bring 11 Billy Collins poems to life. See the scene in the end. Sweet like your last (Narcissus).

Animation by Julian Grey of Headgear.
BUDAPEST
by Billy Collins
My pen moves along the page
like the snout of a strange animal
shaped like a human arm
and dressed in the sleeve of a loose green sweater

I watch it sniffing the paper ceaselessly
intent as any forager that has nothing on its mind
but the grubs and insects
that will allow it to live another day

It wants only to be here tomorrow
dressed, perhaps, in the sleeve of a plaid shirt
nose pressed against the page
writing a few more dutyful lines

while I gaze out the window
and imagine Budapest
or some other city
where I have never been
B

Brilliant, poetic post!
I love it.
